Special training for phase-I polling staff held at Doda

DODA, Nov 25: For the smooth conduct of upcoming District Development Council (DDC) and Panchayat bye-elections, the District Election Authority on Wednesday conducted its special training program for the phase-Ist polling staff here at Doda.
The training of the staff is being organised under the overall supervision of District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO), Dr Sagar D Doifode.
On the occasion, the Master trainers imparted training to the polling staff in two sessions regarding the handling of ballot papers, ballot boxes, counting of votes in case of panchayat bye elections, process of polling and collection of materials and other important process and procedures involved for conduct of smooth, free fair and transparent election.
The master trainers also gave a demo on handling of the ballot boxes to the participants.
The Nodal Officer Trainings also briefed the polling staff about their role and responsibilities and asked them to follow all instructions regarding poll day.
Besides, the officials from the health department also briefed the polling staff about various Covid-19 SOPs which are required to be implemented in letter and spirit well before the poll at their respective polling stations.
The training was imparted to the concerned at two locations including Conference Hall of DC office and Town Hall of MC Doda.
The master trainers who imparted the training are Fayaz Mehta, Dr Akhter Hussain, Tahir Ashraf wani, Mohd Irfan Molvi, Jahangir Nawaz.
