Early Times Report
BANI, Nov 25: Continuing her canvassing for the upcoming DDC polls, the Congress candidate Kajal Thakur visited village Chandyar and adjoining areas in Tehsil Bani of district Kathua.
In a bid to reach out to maximum electors, the Congress nominee Kajal Thakur took up door to door campaigning as well as holding series of public meetings on her way. The people of village Chandyar extended a rousing reception to Thakur on her arrival.
Addressing the gathering, Thakur lamented that Bani constituency is still under developed since most of the ares are without road connectivity, electricity and other basic amenities of life
While pointing out the failures of the BJP government, Thakur said that the BJP leadership deceived people by making only false promises and ding nothing substantial on ground. She said that the BJP showed little respect to the massive mandate it received from the people of Jammu region including Bani. BJP leaders time and again befooled the masses in the name of development which is hardly visible anywhere in Jammu especially Bani, she added.
Thakur said that former BJP MLAs from Bani and MP Dr Jitendra Singh, who has never visited Bani even once, have failed to implement developmental works in Bani. The road connectivity to several villages including this hamlet is in pathetic state, even the Primary Health Center of Chandyar is running in one room and same is the condition of High School of Chandyar which is also functioning from one room, she added. She further said that thanks to the unconcerned BJP leaders Bani has become one of the most remotest and backward constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir.
