Two forms rejected, polling station for phase 3rd notified in Kupwara

KUPWARA, Nov 25: Two forms have been rejected, while 188 nomination forms were found valid during scrutiny of nomination papers for phase-V of District DDC constituencies of Qadirabad and Rajwar and for Sarpanch and Panch vacancies.
According to DEPO, 36 nomination forms have been found valid for these 02 DDC constituencies. Similarly, all 11 nomination forms against 03 vacant Sarpanch seats have also been found valid after scrutiny.
Two Panch nomination forms have been rejected, and only 141 Panch nominations were found valid. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is Nov 26.
DPEO Kupwara, Anshul Garg said that polling station locations for phase-III of upcoming District Development Council (DDC) election for constituencies of Hyhama and Qaziabad in the district have been notified. Besides, the polling station locations for panchayat by-election were also notified on the occasion, said DEPO.
He said that it is for information of all political parties, contesting candidates and general public.
Meanwhile SDM Karnah, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din who is also the Returning Officer for 13-Tangdar DDC constituency said that a meeting to review the arrangements for smooth conduct of upcoming District Development Council (DDC) and Panchayat by-election in the sub-division was held today.
The meeting discussed the preparations for the upcoming election scheduled to be held on November 28 for Tangdar DDC constituency in phase Ist.
A Control Room has already been established at Mini Secretariat Tangdar to oversee the whole election process in the sub division, adding all necessary arrangements have been put in place for deployment of polling staff at the concerned locations.
It is ensured that strict adherence to the guidelines of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) will be followed.
While as 54 polling stations have been notified in the sub division for which 162 presiding and polling officers have been detailed for election duty.
