GDC Billawar organizes series of events

Jammu, Nov 25: Government Degree College (GDC) Billawar in collaboration with Rising Star Gunners organised series of events under operation Sadhavana.
The inaugural function was presided over by ADM Billawar Sandesh Kumar Sharma and Prof. Sunil Uppal, Principal GDC Billawar.On the occasion Officers from Army Unit, other invited dignitaries, faculty members of GDC Billawar, NCC,NSS and other students were also present.
On the occasion Commandant B.S Chouhan laid stress on the management of various health issues, commonly prevalent in the rural masses for which health experts from different domains were invited.
A large number of people especially Ex-Servicemen, senior citizens, faculty, students and general masses from encashment areas visited and got themselves checked from the doctors of SDH Billawar and Army doctors from different fields viz Gynecology, Dentistry,Peadatrics and general Physician checkup.
In another event NSS unit of GDC Billawar organised an orientation cum awareness camp for the farmer community for redressal of various issues pertaining to crop management and especially making awareness.
Demonstrations were given by Sanjay Kumar Sharma (Agriculture Extension Officer) Dr. Manmohan Sharma(Plant Doctor Billawar) Naresh Kumar (A.E. Asstt) and Ajay Paul Singh (Field Asstt.).
Series of lectures were organized from experts from different fields.
At the end, Principal GDC Billawar thanked organising agencies,doctors,faculty from agriculture department, dignitaries, staff present on the occasion and media persons, printing and electronic and assured that college is always ready to host such events in future. He applauded the great efforts of staff members and students of the college.
