SRINAGAR, Nov 25: Former Union Minister Prof Saifuddin Soz has condoled the demise of senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel. In a statement issued here today, Prof Soz said, “I express my deepest shock at the demise of Senior Congress Leader - Ahmed Patel, who was popularly addressed by all as Ahmed Bhai!”
Known for his wisdom and sobriety, Ahmed Patel will be missed by a wide variety of people, all around, Soz added.
He said that it is a great loss to the Congress Party, the Patel family and the Gandhi Parivar to which Ahmed Bhai had proved, all along, unswerving loyalty!
Ahmed Patel had the stamina to listen to all manner of people for long hours and he was known widely for his mental aplomb and patience, he said.
“The other quality of Ahmed Bhai was that he was accessible to a broad section of society, cutting across parties and sections of society. I offer my deepest condolences to the Patel family and the Parivar of Smt Sonia Gandhi,” said Soz.
“Ahmed Patel will be remembered long for his human qualities. May God bless his soul and give fortitude to the family and friends for this great loss and bereavement,” he added. |
