DDC polls battle of nationalism Vs separatism: Chugh
11/26/2020 11:08:04 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 26: The DDC polls are a fight between the Nationalist ideology of Pt Prem Nath Dogra and separatist thinking of Sheikh Mohd Abdullah, said BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh.
Tarun Chugh said this during the filing of nomination papers by Raghunandan Singh Bablu (BJP District President) from Kathua Constituency. Chugh was also associated by BJP Vice-President Yudhvir Sethi, former Minister Rajeev Jasrotia and other senior leaders.
Chugh said that while Pt Prem Nath Dogra always stood for national integration and an inclusive approach wherein he advocated taking along all sections of the society whereas Sheikh Mohd Abdullah always propagated a separatist agenda.
He said that Sheikh Abdullah played card of regionalism and religion to create division among the people, adding that he never bothered to give equal rights to Gujjars, women and weaker sections of the society while he never extended the benefits of Panchayati Raj in J&K due to which the democracy at grass root level failed to prosper here till now.
BJP General Secretary said that the party under the capable stewardship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged to outspread the inclusive approach of Pt Prem Nath Dogra in every nook and corner of J&K.
He said that by abrogating Articles 370 and 35A Prime Minister Narendra Modi has offered a befitting tribute to Pt Prem Nath Dogra's nationalistic ideology, adding that with the repealing of these draconian articles Modi has set into motion a new beginning for the people of J&K.
Tarun Chugh said that the people of J&K has rejected the ideology of separatism and will uproot it completely to move ahead with the Nationalistic approach.
He further said that the evil face of the PDP's separatist agenda has come to fore with the arrest of its Youth wing President Waheed Para who had links with the militants.
Chugh said that after seeing the real face of the PDP people associated with it are now feeling suffocated and this is the reason why a large number of its activists have started to desert it as their conscience is not allowing them to be part of anti-national forces.
Lashing out at Congress for its role in J&K especially in the forthcoming DDC polls, the BJP leader said that it is acting like a B-team of NC and PDP as deep down the party knows that it is a non-entity in J&K.
