Police recover abducted minor girl from Amritsar

JAMMU, Nov 29: Police have recovered an abducted minor girl from neighbouring state of Punjab's Amritsar area.
On November 4 a complaint was lodged by a person namely Gh Nabi Jaral R/O Gool in PS Gool, mentioning therein that during intervening night of 2/3-11-2020, his minor daughter (name withheld) has been kidnapped by one Sohail Akram alias Mohd Akram S/O Bashir Ahmed Malik R/O Jamman Gool with the conspiracy of other family members.
Acting on the complaint, Police registered Case FIR No 70/2020 U/S 363, 109, 504, 506 IPC in PS Gool and started investigation.
After hectic efforts involving human and technical intelligence, acting on a specific information, a police team from PS Gool under the direct supervision of SHO Gool Insptr Muneer Ahmed and overall supervision of SDPO Gool Pardeep Kumar conducted a raid in Amritsar area of Punjab and rescued the kidnapped girl and also arrested the kidnapper yesterday.
The entire exercise was closely monitored by Addl SP Ramban Rajni Sharma and SSP Ramban Haseeb Ur Rahman.
Relevant sections of POCSO Act 2012, have been added in the case and accused has been remanded to Police custody by the Court.
The minor girl has been handed over to her family members after fulfilling legal formalities.
