11/29/2020 10:14:32 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 29: Noting government led by LG Manoj Sinha has earned public accolades for action launched against forest land encroachers/beneficiaries of unconstitutional J&K State Land (vesting of Ownership to the occupants) Act 2001 commonly known Roshni Scheme, senior BJP leader and former Inspector General of Police S S Bijral said governance transparency demands BJP Govt led by PM Narendra Modi has its own party encroachers/beneficiaries, if any, also exposed for action. In case there are none, the party should declare so and set rumours at rest. This shall while upstage the party image having founding guiding principle of 'nation first, party second and self last', give strong message that LG Manoj Sinha govt is all set to wash off long held blot of Jammu Kashmir being the most corrupt state, irrespective of party affiliation or status of violators.
Bijral said had it not been taken up by the enlightened nation lovers the fact of 13000 hectares of forest land encroachment would not have seen the light of day. He said functionaries of SAVE ( Save Animal Value Environment) organization filed PIL in High Court J&K and tirelessly working had favourable orders expeditiously obtained with directions to Forest Deptt to submit the list of encroachers. For this Bijral paid kudos and gratitude to the private organization.
Noting that it was again vigilant organisation that filed PIL no.19/ 2011 against largest ever land scam commonly referred as Roshni Scheme under J&K State Land (Vesting of Ownership to the Occupants) Act 2001 took place and the High Court Jammu & Kashmir held the very Act as unconstitutional. Empowered to proceed to retrieve huge chunk of state land illegally usurped by politicians , their kins and bureaucrats LG Manoj Sinha govt. issued orders to Principal Secretary Revenue to ensure all mutations done in furtherance of the Act, now held unconstitutional, are annulled and encroachers evicted, land retrieved within period of six months.
Bijral said he would be failing in his duties as enlightened citizen if he omits to acknowledge speedy action taken by High Court for all reasons of expediency for larger interest of people and country.
