Good voter turnout in first phase of DDC elections victory of democracy: BJP's Shahnawaz Hussain
11/29/2020 10:15:41 PM
Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Nov 29: The national spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party, Shahnawaz Hussain Sunday said that the district development council elections is a platform of prosperity, peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir and the BJP will get the majority of seats not only in Jammu but Kashmir as well.
Shahnawaz while addressing the party workers at Reddi Chowkibal in Kupwara district said that the voter turnout in the first phase of the DDC election was the victory of democracy as people here want peace and development only.
He said that the participation of people in the DDC election strengthens India's voice for development and corruption free and dynasty free Jammu and Kashmir.
While referring to PAGD, he said that had the regional parties been strong enough to defeat the BJP, they would not formed an alliance. "They were scared of losing to the BJP which is why they came up with this 'Gupkar Gang' alliance."
He also said that the BJP is contesting the DDC elections only for the development of Jammu and Kashmir, however, the regional parties here are busy in manipulating the common masses.
He said that the regional parties here have done dynasty politics only as not a single relative of Abdullahs and Muftis has a poor family background. "They have made the chief minister's post as dynasty centric as no commoner has so far held this position in JK."
"No power in the world including the BJP till the end of the world can command the people not to give Azan (Call for prayers)," he said while claiming the BJP as the savior of rights of all the religious sentiments.
He said that the way forward to prosperity even in Islam is peaceful, however, it is differently portrayed here and people like Hafiz Sayeed and Osama Bin Laden can't dictate which path to follow.
He also said that no militant lives for a decade or so and one who picks up the gun invites death for himself that day only. "Those who have picked up the arms must shun the path and pick a pen that carries more power."
Taking a dig at the Congress party, he said that even the Congress party has confined themselves to dynasty only and the regional parties in Jammu and Kashmir have followed the same pattern.
Asking the people to vote in favour of BJP, he said that it's the only party that has initiated several schemes and benefits for the poor class and works for the development and prosperity of the downtrodden.
On the sidelines of the party function, Shahnawaz told reporters that people yesterday voted for development and all the leaders of Gupkar Alliance by far were found negative for development rather they're found involved in the big scams like Roshni and others.
He said that for the next 50 years only BJP will lead the central government. "Its our time to take J&K on the path of development and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has separate love for this region."
He said that the hollow regional parties have come together and the BJP is not sacred and its the 'Gupkar Gang' that is scared of the BJP.
