District Kathua Cycling C’ship concludes

Kathua, Nov. 29: District level cycling championship has been organized today in District Kathua by J&K Cycling Association with the sincere and dedicated efforts of the Association amidst Covid-19 scare. The competition has been held at Sports Stadium Kathua. The chief guest on this occasion was Rakesh Katyal, who declared open the championship. A large no. of cyclists from the district took part in the championship in various age groups and exhibited their talent. The championship was held under the supervision by Ravinder Singh president, SS Gill general Secretary, Om Parkash associate secretary, Ravi Salgotra treasurer, Sharat Chander Singh general secretary J&K Athletic Association, Nirmaljit Singh, and other office bearers of the J&K Cycling Association. President of the Association appreciated the budding cyclists and assured them that all the best performers would participate at UT and National level tournaments.
In under- 12 Age (Boys) group, Harsh Vardhan stood 1st, Jatinder Bawa clinched 2nd Place and Aarav Suri to win 3rd position, while in under-14 age (Boys) group Nishant Badyal bagged 1st position, Ranchan secured 2nd position and Kumar Kartik clinched 3rd position, in under 17 Age (Boys) Paras stood 1st while Shivam Singh-2nd place and Sahil Kumar bagged 3rd place, in under 14 Age (Girls) Rashi Sharma stood 1st, Saundarya Rajput clinched 2nd position, Akriti Gupta bagged 3rd place, in under 17 Age (Girls) Sub junior Tania stood 1st, Vishali Andotra secured 2nd place Sakshi Verma bagged 3rd place, Senior (Boys) Harsh Tomar stood 1st , Tushar clinched 2nd position and Sumit sharma bagged 3rd place.
