Frustrated after Parra’s arrest, Mehbooba playing communal card
11/30/2020 11:24:24 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 30: Badly frustrated over the arrest of party’s youth wing president Wahid Parra on the charges of seeking support of terrorists during 2019 Lok Sabha elections, PDP president went all-out to play communal card to rake-up religious sentiments of the people.
During the last few days Mehbooba Mufti is brazenly playing religious card to ‘threaten’ Union Government but she crossed all limits by alleging that disciplined soldiers of the Army were forcing people to chant ‘Jai Shree Ram’.
‘Army personnel drag civilians out of their homes in the middle of the night, thrash them with batons & then force these innocent men to chant ‘Jai Shree Ram’. Seems like this is GOI’s ‘vision’ for integrating J&K into India now’, she posted on her twitter handle while reacting to Kashmir based news report.
Shockingly Mehbooba Mufti, who remained as head of the Unified Command as Chief Minister of the erstwhile state of J&K, posted this highly provocative post on her personnel twitter handle without confirming the same from the Army.
She reacted to one quote in which it was alleged, “We were not allowed to scream or even raise our heads up," said a 20-year-old. During this, he said, one man shouted in agony: “If you are going to kill, [then] shoot us.”.
Highly placed sources in the PDP said that Mehbooba Mufti has become frustrated after the arrest of Wahid Parra as she feared that questioning of Parra would spill many beans so she was playing religious card to ‘threaten’ the Centre. “As Mehbooba Mufti has given free hand to Parra during her tenure as Chief Minister, it is alleged that (Parra) was involved in many illegally activities so there is fear among PDP leadership that questioning of Parra was NIA sleuths would expose many secret things”, sources said.
