| DPEO inspects poll arrangements in remote areas | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Nov 30 : The arrangement at Polling station level for the District development Council Elections and Panchayat By- Polls were reviewed by the District Panchayat Election Officer Udhampur Dr Piyush Singla during two day extensive tour of remote areas of Panchari and Moungri block of the District.
During the whirlwind tour, the DPEO inspected several polling stations and took stock of security, AMF arrangement, status of law and order and availability of all necessary amenities required for conduct of free, fair and transparent DDC election in these blocks.
Dr Singla appealed to the people of the twin blocks to come out in large numbers and cast their votes for strengthening the grassroots level democracy. He asked people to use their right to vote for stronger democracy.
After reviewing the election preparedness, the DPEO stressed on the officers to work in close coordination to ensure smooth conduct of the election process. He asked the concerned to ensure strict implementation of Model Code of Conduct and stressed upon the officers to work with great zeal and dedication. Dr Singla also urged the general public to wear facemask, maintain social distancing and follow COVID-19 SOPs during the election process. |
