11/30/2020 11:39:01 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Nov 30: The core committee meeting of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) Jammu and Kashmir held today its office under chairmanship of state General Secretary Ashok Choudhary. Harbans Choudhary, senior leader of BMS, Sachin Bali, Shamsher Chand, Ravi Kumar Hans, Yog Raj Singh, Ishfaq Ahmed Chouhan and Ramesh Chander were also present in the meeting. The members expressed their resentment for poor functioning of ESI Scheme and Provident Fund and non-seriousness on the part of state Labour Department. BMS alleged that reimbursement of long pending medical claim bills of poor workers those covered under ESI which stands in crores and has been laying pending from the last more than three years awaiting for sanction but due to casual approach of Labour department poor workers are suffering and it has taken three years to form employees state insurance society. The members said that Atal Dullu is at present chairman of this society from the last 9 months but no serious efforts has been initiated for clearing the pending medical claim bills reimbursement . and same is the position of EPF as numbers of deadlines has been fixed for transferring of subscribers details to EPFO but due to vested interests state EPF unnecessarily hurdles are being created for smooth transferring the affairs of State EPF to Central Govt EPFO. BMS further alleged that J&K State has been declared UT but minimum wages of central rates has not been implemented neither revised at state level which was last revised in 2017 and have lost its relevance BMS has decided to hold protest demonstration in support of workers demand on December 3 It also appealed to LG and Advisor Farooq Khan to take action in the matter seriously for the welfare of poor working class.
