Phase II: 8 candidates in fray for Bari Brahmana-A &B DDC seat
Polling parties leave amidst tight security

SAMBA, Nov 30: Eight candidates are in fray for Bari Brahmana-A &B District Development Council seat, which is going to the polls tomorrow- the phase II of the ongoing eight phase DDC elections and Panchyat by-polls.
The Polling parties left from the strong room at Vijaypur amidst tight security. The voting shall be held for Bari-Brahmana A and Bari-Brahmana B DDC seats.
Polling Parties including P0, P1 and P2 for the Bari Barhmana block were dispatched from Vimal Muni College, Vijaypur in a fleet of 34 buses, mini buses and other vehicles.
A total of 51 polling booths have been identified including 10 sensitive for Bari Brahmana A & B. All the polling parties have reported at their arrival at respective polling station safely and smoothly. The polling shall be held tomorrow from 7 am to 2pm.
During the second phase election of DDC, 25981 total voters will cast their vote which will decide the fate of 05 and 03 contesting candidates of Bari Brahmana A & B seats, respectively.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Jitender Mishra said that all the necessary arrangements have been made for conduct of free, fair and transparent DDC elections with the due observance of SOPs for COVID-19 protection.
Senior Superintended of Police, Samba, Rajesh Sharma informed that elaborate arrangements have been made for security of the polling parties and identification of sensitive and Non sensitive Polling stations has also been made well in advance.
