Udhampur: 135 Polling Parties dispatched for phase-II DDC polling

UDHAMPUR, Nov 30 : District Election Authority Udhampur today dispatched 135 polling parties to their respective polling stations for 2nd phase of eight phase District Development Council elections.
The polling staff with poll material left amid tight security to Panchari and Chenani DDC constituencies in the presence of District Panchayat Election Officer, Dr. Piyush Singla.
Adequate security personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police and central paramilitary forces accompanied the polling parties.
As per the election authorities 63 Polling stations have been established for 28486 voters in DDC Constituency Chenani and 72 Polling stations for 26856 voters in DDC constituency Panchari.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Viqar Ahmed Giri; Assistant Commissioner Development, Mushtaq Chowdhary; ARTO, Rachna Sharma; Zonal & Sectoral Magistrates besides other senior officers of Civil and police Administration were present on the occasion.
