Attention GP Fund Subscribers of Jammu District

JAMMU, Dec 1: The G.P. Fund subscribers of Jammu district have been asked to furnish the relevant documents to adjust the balances pertaining to the period prior to 01-04-1986 to District Fund Office, Jammu for adjustment of the same in their respective ledger accounts.
The concerned authorities have informed that the Accountant General, J&K has transferred the balances pertaining to the period prior to 01-04-1986 to District Fund Office, Jammu for adjustment of the same in the respective ledger accounts of the subscribers. But due to non-furnishing of Debit/Credit statements, the AGTAs remained unadjusted till date despite publication of notices repeatedly.
In order to facilitate the adjustment, the subscribers are once again requested to approach the District Fund Office on any working day along with the prescribed documents enabling the office to adjust the amount in their ledger accounts as transferred by the A.G, if already not adjusted which pertain to the Education, Medical, Animal Husbandry, PWD, Irrigation, Electric, Forest, Revenue, Justice, Press, CAPD, SRTC, Agriculture, Information and all other Misc. Deptts.
The concerned subscribers are required to furnish Debit/Credit statement w.e.f 01-04-1982 or 1st deduction whichever is earlier to 31-03-1986 duly authenticated by the DDO concerned as per column (8) of the AG, Transfer Advice.
An Indemnity Bond duly countersigned by the Head of the Department, in case, if the record for said the period has been destroyed/gutted in the fire.
An affidavit duly attested by the Notary said T.A. has not been accounted for in the ledger accounts in any other District Fund Office previously.
It is impressed upon all the concerned DDOs/subscribers to approach the office of the Chief Accounts Officer, District Fund Office, Jammu within 15 days for the said purpose so that the accounts are settled.
