Mayor kick starts development work in Janipur area

Jammu, Dec 1: Continuing his endeavor to provide more & better development & civic amenities to the people of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta , Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation alongwith Surinder Sharma councilor of ward no.38 today kick started the work of laying of slab over nallah flowing at sec- 2 Pamposh Colony Janipur of ward no.38. Jeetu Bhan, Sanjay Bakshi , Robin Kumar, Ashok Sharma, Surinder Gupta & other prominent inhabitants of the locality as well as Ranjan Kumar Concerned Junior Engineer & other supervisory staff of engineering section concerned contractor were also remained present during the function which was organized in a very simple manner keeping in view the coronavirus pandemic. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor told that it was the long pending demands of the locals for covering this particular nallah as they were facing lot of inconvenience & hardships from the last many years due to this open spot which has become a breeding place for mosquitoes & inviting many types of diseases as foul smell remain continuously emitting from this open nallah. He said that this development work has been started with an estimate cost of 14.00 lacs only and directed the concerned engineering wing to complete the laying of slab work with in stipulated time period by applying best quality and durable construction materials & upto the satisfaction of locals.
