DSEJ hosts online programme – ‘ Prakash Utsav of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’

JAMMU, Dec 2: To commemorate 551st birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji, Directorate of School Education Jammu(DSEJ) organised an online programme ‘ Prakash Utsav of Guru Nanak Dev Ji ‘ in which students from different districts of Jammu Division participated.
The Students recited Shabad-Kirtan and threw light on the Guru Nanak Dev ji’s life and teachings.
Director School Education Jammu, Anuradha Gupta, conveyed Gurpurb greetings to the participants and asked the students to follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. She said that Guru Nanak Dev ji always believed that before becoming a Sikh, a Muslim, a Hindu or a Christian, one should become a human being first.
Besides the students, Kamaljeet Kour, working as Master, Government Girls High School City Chowk, Jammu, Dr. Surinder Sharma, team member Counselling Cell DSEJ, also shared inspirational stories about the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Alka Sharma and vote of thanks was delivered by Ashutosh Sharma, both are the team members of Cultural & Educational Cell, DSEJ. The technical support was provided by Sohail Wani, Member IT Cell, DSEJ.
