Div Com reviews progress on Ring Road project

JAMMU, Dec 3: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today reviewed the progress of work on Ring Road project here at a meeting with concerned officers.
The meeting was attended by Project Director NHAI, Ajay Kumar Rajak; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Gansham Singh, besides Officers of Irrigation and Flood Control and other concerned.
The Project Director NHAI gave a detailed account of executed works on various phases of the ring road project. He also apprised the Div Com about work done so far and also discussed future work plans. It was informed that work on various phases is in progress.
The Div Com asked the executing agencies to remove the bottlenecks, if any and expedite the pace of work to meet the timelines. He also instructed NHAI to further gear up men and machinery to expedite the work for timely completion of the prestigious road project.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Samba informed that all land acquisition cases of ring road in the district have been cleared, awards been issued and compensation disbursed among the owners.
Later, the Divisional Commissioner reviewed implementation of Jammu and Kashmir High Court directions for improvement of civic amenities and drainage in a Talab Tollo locality.
The meeting was attended by SSP Traffic Jammu, Senior Law Officer JMC, Tehsildar Jammu West besides engineers of JPDCL, UEED, PWD, Jal Shakti and other concerned.
The concerned officers informed that drainage work on the right side of Kamla Palace Bharat Nagar Talab Tillo Jammu is in progress.
The Divisional Commissioner directed the UEED engineers to expedite the work for timely completion. He also directed Chief Engineer JPDCL (distribution) to take remedial measures for hanging high voltage wires.
Directions were issued to Jal Shakti department to ensure regular supply of water in the area.
