Art 370, 35A abrogation in interest of J&K: Anurag Thakur
12/3/2020 10:12:02 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 3: Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir DDC elections, Anurag Singh Thakur, has stated that the removal of irrelevant Articles 370 and 35A from Jammu and Kashmir is in the interest of the people and added that Gupkar alliance is showing false dreams of its return, just to cheat Jammu and Kashmir once again.
Thakur said, "Modi government has abrogated Articles 370 and 35A which have been a curse in the development of Jammu and Kashmir over the years and the major step has ensured the momentum for the development of the state and citizens of this place to live peacefully.
"Due to 370 and 35A, for years Jammu and Kashmir and the citizens of this place were deprived of the facilities they were entitled to. Under this irrelevant article, some families have worked only to secure their political futures and live their lives luxuriously," he said here addressing a public rally.
He further said, "Articles 370 and 35A have been gone from the state for ever and it is not possible that it comes back under any circumstances. The Gupkar coalition is showing false dreams of its return to the people".
"The state has benefited with the removal of 370 and 35A. Why have the governments so far upheld Article 370 and misled the people of the country? Why did the people of the country continue to be robbed of hard-earned money and sweat for the safety of a handful of people and special status?," he added.
"The way for the setting up of industries and businesses in the state and employment generation has been cleared. Girl children will now be able to get their rights even after marriage. This beautiful state is now feeling fully connected to India after the withdrawal of 370 and 35A, and the days of stone pelting and terrorist incidents are a history now," he said.
"For the first time the poor general class of Jammu and Kashmir got the benefit of reservation, for the first time hill-speaking people got the benefit of reservation after the removal of Article 370 and this fact is disturbing the Gupkar alliance," he said and added that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have got their rights now and they know that the BJP government will continue to protect their interests in the same way.
