| AJKDWA observes International Disability Day | | |

Jammu, Dec 3: All Jammu and Kashmir Disable Welfare Association under headship of their Chairman Sushil Kumar Sharma observed International Disability Day here at Akhnoor today. Like every year on the eve of International Disability day Jammu and Kashmir Disabled Welfare Association held a one day convention today at Akhnoor.
Sham Lal Sharma (Ex Cabinet Minister and Senior BJP Leader) was the Chief Guest of the occasion who was unable to attend the programme because of some unprecedented reasons. Chairman Team Jammu Zorawar Singh Jamwal and were the special guests of the programme. Hundreds of people along with some dignitaries from different social and political organizations attended the programme. Sushil Kumar Sharma, Chairman of All Jammu and Kashmir Disable Welfare Association read the memorandum of demands of the disable people for whom they are struggling for a long time. Some of the major demands are implementation of Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 in Jammu and Kashmir, Opening of new Tehsil Social Welfare offices. He also demanded enhancement of their monthly pension, reservation in all spheres, and special safeguard for disable employees regarding transfers and promotions. They demanded implementation of National Trust Act 1999. They strongly demanded that all disables of JKUT should be benefited under Antodey Aan Yojna for all.
