Jammu, Dec 3: Renowned social activist Sardar Tajinder Singh put serious concern on mounting unemployment ratio in J&K UT and said it should be matter of concern for Government of India and should deal positively by generating new employment schemes and by inviting private leading business enterprises in Jammu and Kashmir after singing MOU that they will recruit the only youth of J&K according to their qualifications. Tajinder said that recently government has advertised class 4th jobs in which around 6,00,000 educated youth had applied for 10,000 posts, which indicates the level of unemployment and frustration among highly qualified unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir. Tajinder said that recent survey by concern department show that 2.5lakh educated unemployed youth including PhD scholar, post graduates, were registered with department of employment during a drive done last year to count the number of jobless person in Jammu and Kashmir and this counting excludes the graduate and undergraduates and who still not registered themselves at employment department.
Tajinder said that unemployed youth genuinely blame old misgovernance, poor administration and rampant corruption in the corridors of power that has pushed Jammu and Kashmir to record second worst unemployment rate among State /UT in the country. |
