Mayor kick starts various development works in Jammu City

JAMMU, Dec 4: Continuing the drive to provide more development & civic amenities to the people of Jammu City, Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation along with Vinay Gupta District President (BJP) Jammu, Sunita Koul Councillor of ward No: 04, Narinder Gupta (Koki) conducted an extensive tour in the various localities of the ward & kick started the construction work of deep drains & laying of Iron gratings over the drains i.e. from Moti Bazar towards Maha Laxmi Mandir Pacca Danga & from Moti Bazar towards Raj Tilak Road Jammu. Vishal Kotwal Junior engineer alongwith Supervisory Staff of engineering and Health Section of JMC as well as Prominent Residents & representatives of Moti Bazar & Pacca Danga Association were also accompanied the Mayor during the tour. Speaking on the occasion, mayor told that this was the long pending demands of the shopkeepers & residents of the locality as due to these damaged drains, dirty water often remain stagnates and even enters into the shops causing great hardships for them and passersby & told that construction work of much needed deep drains has now been started by the JMC with and estimate cost of Rs. 24 lakh only & directed the concerned Engineering Wing & contractors to execute the said work within the stipulated time period by applying best quality material for its long durability & upto the satisfaction of the locals / shopkeepers.
