REASI, Dec 4: Cervical Cancer screening camp was organised at District Hospital Reasi. The camp was organised by Divisional NCD Cell, DHS under the expert supervision of Director Health Services Jammu. The screening test involved the method VIA (Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid). The said activity comes under the population based screening of common masses for diseases like hypertension, Diabetics, Cardio Vascular Diseases and different Cancers. Due to prevailing COVID 19 situation, 15 ASHAs were screened at DH Reasi & 12 ASHAs at CHC Katra were screened in the camp.
On this occasion, training was imparted to Doctors & ANMs by Dr Samita Bhat Gynaecologist Gandhi Nagar Hospital Jammu. These Doctors & ANMs will further screen the common masses in their respective places of postings.
Both the camps were concluded with thanks to all the organizers/ Participants of the camps, Dr Samir Koul Divisional Nodal Officer NCD (DNO), Dr Rajiv Sharma CMO Reasi, Dr Rajinder Kumar MS DH Reasi, Dr Gopal Dutt BMO Katra, Naresh Sharma & Vijay Kumar.
