Bandipora records highest poll percentage in North Kashmir

KUPWARA, Dec 4: The highest voter turnover for third phase of DDC elections in North Kashmir was recorded in Bandipora district. Though there was severe cold, but people came out in large number to cast their votes at different polling booths.
According to the details about the DDCs, the polling percentage recorded in Bandipora district at 56.73%, Kupwara was 46.25% and Baramulla 30.94%. Huge gatherings of people were seen for their turn at different polling booths across North Kashmir. In two DDC constituencies of Baramulla district, 9-Sangrama and 13-Wagoora, where 23.41 % of votes were recorded in Sangrama and 38% was recorded in Wagoora.
105 years old woman cast her vote in Wagoora area, according to which votes is their right, so that they can see some sort of development in their area.
“I have come a long way to cast my vote, my vote is for the honest and dedicated person, and he should understand the present situation that we are passing through in Jammu and Kashmir”, said an old aged lady.
