Early Times Report

Udhampur, Dec 4: The cash depositing machine at Gole Market area of the town has again become non-functional due to some technical snag. It is pertinent to mention that the only such facility in the town mostly remains non-functional since it was installed by the JK Bank Ltd.
The affected people due to absence of services provided by the machine have expressed resentment and demanded that the concerned authorities should immediately rectify the snag to make the machine functional.
“This is the time of Corona virus pandemic and we avoid visiting banks to deposit cash. So the authorities concerned should take a note of this and make the machine functional as soon as it is possible,” Puran chand , a shopkeeper said.
Ajay Mahajan, a local leader said that the bank authorities should care about their customers and maintain the machine properly so that it may not develop snags repeatedly. Similar were the views of a student who said that other banks should take a cognizance and install more such machines for the benefit of customers.
When contacted the manager of the main branch of J&K Bank Udhampur Suresh Sharma said their technical teams are on job and they expect that the machine will be corrected soon.
