| Mushroom Cultivation, Bee keeping pillars of Atma Nirbhar Bharat: VC SKUAST-J | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 4: An impressive valedictory function of the hands on training courses on Mushroom Cultivation and Bee keeping was held in the Faculty of Agriculture, SKUAST-Jammu. The training courses were organized for the unemployed rural youth and Ex servicemen under the operation Sadbhavna and were sponsored by Indian Army. The participants were given hands on training on various aspects of mushroom cultivation and bee keeping during these two courses of 10 days duration so that they could start their own enterprises. Prof. J.P. Sharma, Vice Chancellor of SKUAST-Jammu who was the chief guest on the occasion emphasized upon the participants to take up enterprises like mushroom cultivation and bee keeping as their source of employment. He stressed that by adopting these enterprises they could become job providers rather than job seekers. Col. Mohd. Ali C.O. 118 Regment was the guest of honour on this occasion. He thanked the University authorities for organizing such useful trainings as such type of trainings can make the youth self reliant and such agri-enterprises have important role in sustainable agriculture.
