Horizon Club lifts T20 Christmas Celebrations Cup

Jammu, Dec 22: Physical fitness & Agility is the basic necessity for a cricketer in the present cricket scenario stated by Dr. Ashok Bhan Former Director General of Police ,J&K while Horizon Cricket Club lifted the T20 Christmas Celebrations Cup which was been played at KC Sports Club ground Jammu.
The tournament was been Jointly organized by Sr. Cricketers/Members of Indian Cricket Association & KC Sports Club supported by Horizon Sports Club and The Game Changer Sports Club. The objective of the tournament was to celebrate Christmas together through T20 Cricket.
In the valediction function of the T20 Christmas Celebrations Cup Dr. Ashok Bhan IPS Former Director General of Police J&K was the Chief Guest whereas Ashvinder Koul Former Ranji Player and member Indian Cricket Association was the Guest of honour. The Chief Guest Dr.Ashok Bhan distributed the trophies among the runners and winners in the presence of Ashvinder Koul, Rajesh Gill, Arjun Choudhary, Sudhir Singh, Ashish Singh and Sanjeev Sharma.
Earlier Rajesh Gill member Indian Cricket Association and coordinator of the event presented welcome address and brief detail of the cup. He also apprised the Chief Guest that the main objective of the tournament was to provide platform to the Cricketers of J&K so that they can exhibit their cricketing talent and to celebrate Christmas through T20 cricket.
The Chief Guest while speaking on the occasion said that Physical fitness and Agility is the basic necessity for a cricketer in the present cricket scenario. He addressed the participant cricketers and said if you want to play at the national level then work hard specially in the areas of fitness and fielding . He also advised the participants to avoid mobile games and allied things etc because it distracts the person from the main aim.
The Chief Guest also appreciated the Sr. Cricketers and KC Sports Club for the successful conducting of the T20 Cricket tournament on the occasion of Christmas.
Ashvinder Koul also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the role of Rajesh Gill Member Indian Cricket Association for regularly conducting cricket matches for all cricketers.
In the summit clash Horizon Cricket Club defeated Vridhi Royals by 5 wickets. Batting first Vridhi Royals scored 129 runs for the loss of all wickets in 19.4 overs with Sahil lalotra 27, Sanoop Bhagat 22 and Archit 14 runs. From the bowling side,Vivrant took 4 wickets, Bandeep Singh took 3 wickets, while Sampark,Veenu and Savan took 1 wicket each. In reply Horizon Cricket Club chased the target in 17.5 overs by losing 4 wickets thus won the match by 6 wickets . Akshit and Bandeep were the main batsmen who scored 73 and 34 runs. From the bowling side Sannat took 2 wickets while Sanoop took 1 wicket.
Akshit was declared as man of the match in final and best batsman, Paras Sharma declared best bowler while Bandeep Singh was declared as man of the series for his alround performance.
The matches were officiated by Ashok, Sanju and Vijay.
