Rajouri Police display splendid performance in containing crimes in 2020

RAJOURI, Jan 6: Rajouri Police have shown remarkable performance in containing crimes in 2020 and especially it got success in declination of drug menace as compared to previous years.
As per official statistics issued by the Rajouri police, wherein the details of various natures of crime took place in 2020 were mentioned. It managed to control the rising crime in this district witnessed in recent past years.
On militancy front various achievements were made by the district police under the guidance SSP Rajouri Chandan Kohli which include Anti militancy Ops conducted: 6, Hideout busted: 3, Militants killed: 4, Militants arrested: 3, OGWs arrested: 1. Besides huge cache of arms/ammunitions were recovered during the anti militancy operations which include AK 47=03, AK 56=02, Grenade=16, Pistols=08, Detonators= 10, AK 47 Mag= 26, AK rounds=1232, Pistal magazines=09, UBGL- =01 etc.
The achievements on drugs control include FIRs: 32, Persons arrested: 49, Persons bound down: 12. It recovered Heroin= 12 Kgs, 738 Gm, 164 MG, Bucky (Bhang)= 93 Kgs, Charas=14 Kgs, 863 Gm, 88 Mg, Brown Sugar=57 Gm, Smac= 10 Gm, Capsules= 2500 Nos.
Achievement on Bovine smuggling include FIRs= 159, Vehicles seized= 97, Cattles seized= 919, Persons arrested= 257. It conducted Police-Public Meets include PCPG= 152, CSC= 42. Action against Lockdown violators include FIRs= 243, Vehicles seized=100, Shops seized= 20, Persons arrested=216, Persons booked= 930, Fine recovered=3,95000/-
Action against Traffic Violation include FIR against overloading= 50, Traffic challans= 5690. Besides it got huge success in maintaining law and order to ensure free, fair and incident free DDC and Bye poll Pyt elections in the district.
While talking to Early Times, SSP Rajouri Chandan Kohli said that police have been working hard day and night to ensure Rajouri a crime free district, which can be vindicated from the statistics of last one year, which are enormously on the decline.
He further said that they are very strict towards those elements who are hell bent to vitiate the communal harmony in the district and will not stay away to impose PSA against such people. He appealed to the general public particularly the civil society to keep vigil on unlawful activities
