EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Jan 6: Netizens have sought Lt Governor Manoj Sinha’s intervention following an official communiqué mentioning name of an unelected senior BJP leader’s D.O. letter issued by an officer of the Health & Medical Education Department for deputation of a doctor, in October last year went viral on social media.
It may be noted that ET does not confirm the purported letter, which was addressed to Principal Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu and went viral on social media. The Health & Medical Education department attracted sharp criticism over unethical and unprofessional move of its officers.
Addressed to Principal GMC Jammu communiqué issued by Under Secretary to government, Health & Medical Education department, Pamposh Ganju reads, “I’m directed to forward herewith a copy of D.O. letter no. JKBJPP/P/15205/2020 dated 11/08/2020, received from Ashok Koul, General Secretary (UT), J&K, Regarding the subject Deputation of Dr. Manish Sharma for the post of M.S. ENT, Government Medical College, Jammu and request you to kindly furnish your no objection certificate (NOC) in the matter.”
Some social media users tagged the copy of the letter on twitter handle @RSS, @manojsinha_ , @OfficeOfLJJandK, @AshokKoul59 @HMOIndia and #BlackDiaryBabu. The debate was going on whether, is it important to mention the name of a political leader in official communication.
It is a routine matter for the leaders, they (leaders) recommend many cases daily and the administration comply with the recommendation, but such acts of government departments bring disrepute for political parties as well as the administration.
Move of H&ME Department was against the work culture of JK UT under the leadership of LG Manoj Sinha, who tirelessly working for better J&K without any discrimination. But such letters show biasedness of UT administration towards other parties.
