| Kundal demands release of MGNREGA wages | | |

SAMBA, Jan 7: Lambasting the government for not releasing the pending wages of MGNREGA, ex-MLA and senior Panthers Party leader Yash Paul Kundal said the labourers who have done the job are unnecessarily being harassed by the district administration with the denial of their legitimate right.
Addressing a press conference here today, Yash Paul Kundal said that the beneficiaries of marriage assistance scheme and ‘Ladli Beti’ are also being deprived off from getting the benefits. He leveled serious charges of corruption in the administration adding that irregularities are on peak in District Samba.
He said that while the aggrieved people are facing problems but unfortunately none of the officers are willing to listen or address their grievances. He warned the administration that if the wages of the MGNREGA labourers are not released within week then the workers of the Panthers Party shall stage dharna at the concerned quarter.
