Dharmarth Trust employees hold protest in front of Trust’s head office

JAMMU, Jan 7: Dharmarth Trust Employees Association (DTEA), who are on strike for the last 38 days, today held a protest in front of Dharmarth Trust head office, Karan Bhawan, here.
Employees from various units of the Trust such as Shri Raghunath Temple, Hari Bhawan Purmandal, Uttar Behani, Birpur Central Office Karan Bhawan participated in the protest. They urged Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to merge all Dharmarth Trust temples with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board for proper development of temples which are in pathetic condition.
Meanwhile, those who sat on eleventh day of chain hunger strike include Pt Balwant Raj Shastri, Gopal Sharma, Yash, Sheetal Kumari, Veena Devi, Mohan Lal, Karan Singh, Yashpal, Pt Kapil Muni and Pawan Singh.
“We shall continue our agitation till our demands will be met by the Trust members,” protestinwwg employees asserted. “We demand CBI inquiry in the all aforesaid misdeeds of Dharmarth trust so that the truth comes out and in this connection a letter with details has already been submitted to Lt. Governor and CBI Jammu wing,” they said.
“We demanded that the Govt should constitute a Board for all the temples under Dharmarth Trust and take over all property moveable and immoveable from the person having control on trust,” they said. President Vivek Bandral urged Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to resolve the issues at the earliest. Working President, Rajinder Shastri, ex General Secretary, Pritam Sharma, Ex-President Kernail Chand Thakur also addressed the gathering. Sunit Sharma, Surjit Singh Jamwal , Kuldeep Singh , Subash, Pt Parshotam, Pt Brijmohan Sharma, Pt Om Parkash, Pt Rampal, Leela Devi, Sheetal, Nisha, Sonika and others were also present in the protest.
