Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 8: Two days Multilingual Art Seminar, organised by Ehsaas, a Non Government Organisation (NGO) with support from Kargil Development Project (KDP) concluded here at Zone by the Park Jammu, in which renowned artists participated. Ezabir Ali, Founder/Secretary Ehsaas, while welcoming?the guests stated that Art has healing powers and this particular event was arranged for Artists from various fields to use their creativity as an expression to help relieve stress and aid communication. Rukhsana Jabeen, Senior member Ehsaas who presided over the function said, artists from different backgrounds attended the event, which was the first of its kind in recent times, in which people from different regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh participated and shared their thoughts on the contemporary socio-political atmosphere. The Seminar saw a blend of different artists, young and old from various backgrounds like literature, poetry, story writing, painting and sketching on a common platform. Speaking on the occasion, another senior member Ehsaas Indu Kilam said that this event has given a platform to artists from across the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, wherein they can present their valuable creations to revise minds and hearts. "This is apparently a golden opportunity to listen to and interact with the people of such an intellect," said Dogri poet Davinder Thakur, adding that such events provide lifelong learning experience. Among those who participated and spoke on the occasion included VK Sambyal, Prithipal Singh Betab, Indu Kilam, Pradeep Dutta, Davinder Thakur, Vijaya Thakur, Usha Kiran, Kanwal Krishan Ladroo, Manmeet Kour, Dr Liaqet Jafri and Prof Shalini. |
