Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 8: Sports Authority of India (SAI) has named Chief Coach of the J&K Police Athletics team and a former National Athlete, Sharat Chander Singh member in the North Zone team of the Khelo India Talent Identification. Also general secretary of the J&K Amateur Athletics Association, Sharat shall be part of the team looking into the talented Athletes from Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi, Rajasthan and UTs of Chandigarh and J&K. Being member of the Government of India team, Sharat will be entitled to all the financial aspects involved in performing his assigned job. Besides looking into the talent at grass-root level, the team shall also ensure updation of data base of NSRS and create ranking of Athletes. Meanwhile, the entire team of J&K Athletics Association appreciated Sharat's achievement. President of the J&K Olympic Association, Dr Ashutosh Sharma in a message to Sharat Chander said, 'you deserve'. |
