| Local leader plays role in providing assignment for personal benefit | | JE RDD Nowshera given additional charge of Sunderbani Block | | AJAY SHARMA

RAJOURI, Jan 8: A Junior Engineer of Rural Development Department (RDD) posted in Nowshera Block has been given additional charge of Sunderbani block and order of which was issued by the Director RDD.
If sources are to be believed, a local leader of Sunderbani block played a role in providing additional charge to Junior Engineer for his personal benefits as he also takes development works in his block.
"The Junior Engineer was hardly transferred a few months ago here in Nowshera block that he was given assignment of additional charge of Sunderbani block as per order No. 331 DRD of 2020 dated 28-09-2020, which is around 40 kms from Nowshera and raised the eyebrows of other officials," they said further adding that there were many other blocks which fall between Nowsher and Sunderbani but only this JE was given charge of the block which is 40 kms from this place," he said.
Already there were Junior Engineers posted in Sunberbani block yet JE Nowshera was given additional charge which created suspicion among others, they said further adding that Junior Engineer has also shown disinterest in his new assignment.
When Early Times contacted the concerned official, he said that he can't comment on the issue as the order has been issued by the Director RDD and it would be better to talk to him. Despite repeated attempts to contact the Director RDD, he could not be contacted for his version. |
