1/8/2021 11:30:39 PM
Jammu, Jan 8: A delegation of Engineering students led by Sanjay Singh Sandhu, Incharge Jammu Province, All J&K Youth Federation (AJKYF) today met Khalid Jahangir, Chairman, J&K Service Selection Board (JKSSB) and highlighted the genuine demands of engineering students which occurred due to COVID-19 pandemic. While highlighting the grievances, Sanjay Singh Sandhu said that due to the global pandemic of Covid-19 students have suffered a lot because of which various universities became unable and even failed to conduct examinations for final year students which resulted into delay in examination and their results which has directly affected the engineering students for applying for various vacancies advertised by the JKSSB from last few months. Sandhu further said that JKSSB should consider the genuine demands of the engineering students and should allow them to apply for advertised vacancies otherwise the students will be deprived of their Constitution right i.e. right to employment. After giving a thorough audience to the grievances of the delegation, Khalid Jahangir, Chairman, J&K Service Selection Board (JKSSB) assured the delegation that some effective steps will be taken to overcome their grievances and wished bright future for the engineering degree holders.
