Constitute Board for temples under Dharmarth Trust on pattern of SMVDSB: DTEA

JAMMU, Jan 8: Dharmarth Trust employees, who are on protest for the last 39 days and observing chain hunger strike for the last 12 days under the banner of Dharmarth Trust Employees Association (DTEA), demanded from Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to constitute Board for all the temples under Dharmarth Trust on the pattern of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
A number of employees including priests from various units of the Trust such as Shri Raghunath Mandir Hari Bhawan Purmandal Uttarbehni Birpur and Central Office (Karan Bhawan) participated in the protest.
Those who sat on chain hunger strike today include Om Parkash, Pt Raj Paul, Angraju, Dev Raj, Geeta Devi, Darshna Devi, Bablu Singh, Vinod Manhas, Kamal Bandral and Parshotam Sharma.
They demanded all the temples of Dharmarth Trust merged into the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board. They are raising their voice against the trustees and the management. They alleged that the trustees and the management are bent upon destroying the Dogra Culture. They have also demanding enquiry by CBI into the misappropriation of funds by the trustees and the management.
Speaking on the occasion, the association members criticized the management of J&K Dharmarth Trust saying that they are bent upon destroying the Dogra culture.
“We shall continue our agitation till our demands will be met by the state UT functioning of the Dharmarth Trust termed the demands of Dharmarth Trust employees are genuine and justified. The protesting employees appealed to the social, political, religious and civil organizations to come forward for the cause of preserving Dogra heritage and religious places in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
