Scores of prominent political activists from Anantnag join Apni Party

SRINAGAR, Jan 9: Scores of prominent political activists from different parts of district Anantnag led by Tariq Shah Veeri, a senior worker of National Conference joined Apni Party at its office in Lal Chowk Srinagar on Saturday.
Those who joined alongwith Veeri included Ghulam Hyder Shah, NC block president Bijbehara, Advocate Raja Showkat, PDP senior worker, Mohammad Yousuf Itoo, senior worker NC, Ghulam Mohammad Ganaie senior worker NC, Arshad Abdullah Dar senior worker NC from Bijbehara, Anantnag.
The joining ceremony was carried out in presence of the party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, Vice President Zafar Iqbal Manhas, General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir, State Secretary and District President Budgam Muntazir Mohi-ud-din, Provincial President Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Media advisor Farooq Andrabi, Provincial Secretary Javid Mirchal, District President Srinagar Noor Mohammad Sheikh, District President Anantnag Abdul Rahim Rather, District President Kupwara Raja Manzoor, Coordinator South Kashmir Showkat Gayoor, youth leader Imad Rafi Mir and Mushataq Zuhami.
While addressing the new members, the Party President said, "We have witnessed a political impasse from long and that too was preceded by a politics of failures. But now we see a political awakening among the people and that is all visible here today. I, along with my party are committed for the holistic socio-economic and political development of J&K that has earlier faced a gridlock for so many years."
Bukhari urged the new entrants to work for the socio-economic and political empowerment of the people with extra zeal and hard work while being accessible to the people in their respective areas.
Speaking on this occasion, Tariq Ahmad Shah Veeri, expressed deep gratitude towards the party leadership for providing a viable and principled political platform to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
