Newly elected DDCs face snubbing from inhabitants of Marwah, Warwan

Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Jan 9: The newly elected District Development Council members from Marwah and Warwan faced snubbing from the local inhabitants for taking part in agriculture department function regarding the distribution of seeds to the farmers at Kishtwar Headquarter instead of Marwah and Warwan wherein majority of the government offices sanctioned for this remote area function from District Headquarter instead from the area to which they belong.
As per the details available with Early Times, the newly elected DDC members from Marwah Sheikh Zafrullah and Warwan Abdul Razak Lone had recently attended the seeds distribution function organized by the Agriculture Department, Sub Division Marwah at Kishtwar which was questioned by the locals that the department instead of organizing these types of functions in respective blocks Viz Marwah & Warwan, it was held at Kishtwar Headquarter with both the newly elected DDC members shamelessly attended the function at Kishtwar for photo grab instead of forcing the department to organise this function at Sub Divisional Headquarter.
"What is the fun to elect those who promises to change the things on ground - what is the difference now and then- let the newly elected DDC members from Marwah and Warwan give the answer to the people of Marwah who voted for them" wrote Muzaffer Lone from Marwah who locked in a triangular battle with NC's Abdul Razak Lone from Warwan.
The locals while snubbing both Agriculture Department as well as its newly elected DDC members called for organizing every function related to Marwah Sub Division at Sub Divisional Headquarter or at block level instead advocating for organising these programs at District Headquarter Kishtwar only to fill its record books and to draw the money for organising such functions.
It is pertinent to mention that majority of the government offices sanctioned for Marwah are stationed at Kishtwar while poor people hailing from these areas held several protests at Kishtwar for shifting these offices to Marwah and Warwan- but fail.
