Congress’ sits in political gimmick aimed at gaining foothold: Raman Suri
1/10/2021 10:54:07 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 10: “Congress party’s plan of staging protest outside all Governor Houses across the country on January 15, in support of farmers’ agitation against farm laws, is nothing but mere politics to stay relevant. The fact is that, left with no issues the Congress party is trying to exploit those sitting at protest in the name of farmers’ agitation and create an unrest.
This was stated by BJP J&K Executive Member Raman Suri, who added that Congress never cared for farmers and itself allowed middlemen to loot their hard-earned money. Had Congress been so sincere, it would have raised the income of farmers and not allowed them to commit suicide.
Now that new farm laws have been implemented across the nation, farmers will get due price of their crop and their income will also increase. The farmers will now be able to sell their crop as per their choice and at a place where they will get fair price. Contrarily, Congress continued to handover Mandis to Arthiyas, who in turn controlled farm produce without owning any land.
He added that another big relief for farmers is that their land is safe and secure in the entire process. They will be able to sell their produce, and their land will remain safely with them. Raman Suri said that unable to fight on its own or set its own house in order, Congress is trying to fire from the shoulders’ of farmers.
Despite that, Congress has planned to go for sit in which means that the party knows that the laws passed them are nowhere coming in between the path of central laws and can not block them. This also indicates that Congress is playing sheer politics to stay relevant and exploit farmers and common masses by spilling on roads.
He said that farmers must trust Prime Minister that he won’t do anything wrong to them. All three laws passed are in the larger interest of farmers’ welfare and to increase their income. They must put to test these farm laws and then talk to government over issues that confront them, Raman Suri asserted.
