Family alleges conspiracy behind murder

JAMMU, Jan 10: The family members of deceased Mohd Sarik, who was assaulted during a birthday party at Bhagwati Nagar today alleged conspiracy behind his murder as despite registration of the case the suspected attackers were roaming free.
Deceased Sarik Mohammad alias Shaka son of Mir Mohammad, resident of Jawahar Nagar, Satwari Jammu was a private driver. He received a phone call on his cell phone and left home. Verbal duel took place between Sarik and others during a birthday party organized by one Vaneet Kachroo a resident of Bagwati Nagar.
“He was stabbed on his back by known persons, in the pool of blood he was shifted to Hospital”, said wailing family members of the deceased. “We were busy in taking care of him, as Sharik alias Shakka, was on ventilator since the day he was attacked on January 3. Despite registration of case police did not arrest the killers and they kept roaming free till today”, the family members alleged.
“We will not sit silently until justice is not done with the victim’s family. Sharik was a private driver, left behind three children and wife who was a heart patient”, said the deceased’s brother.
“In the party there were many people including some leaders and officers, the person who was hosting the party earlier refused to recognize the incident but CCTV footage made him reveal during Police’s questioning that an assault on the victim took place during the party”, he further added.
“There was a conspiracy behind his murder as he was under the influence of narcotic drugs, given to him secretly all during that happened on that fateful day”, Ashraf Ali, a Gujjar leader of Azad Nagar, Gadigarh, Jammu, said while talking to media persons outside Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) this morning.
Meanwhile, Nowabad Police has arrested two accused in the murder case. “In this case FIR No. 2/21 u/s 307 (now 302), 34 IPC 4/25 ARMS ACT stands registered same day at Police Station Nowabad”, said a senior Police Officer and added that two accused have been arrested by the Police.
“A special team of Police Station Nowabad, led by Incharge Police Post Canal Road Ravinder Singh arrested two accused persons namely Gurdev Singh alias Sonu son of Kimat Singh resident of Talab Tillo and Gurdeep Singh alias Rimple son of Paramjeet Singh resident of 138, Mohinder Nagar, Bhagwati Bagar and efforts are on to nab other accused as well”, the officer said.
