After warnings failed to yield any result , Mehbooba requests LG for Parra’s release

Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 10: After giving threats to fight against arrest of party leaders in money laundering and terror funding cases, PDP president and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti appeared to have realized that warnings were not going to give any results.
After the Counter Terror group of J&K police rearrested Mehbooba’s blue-eyed boy Wahid Parra within minutes after he was granted bail by NIA Court, she shunned her warning attitude and sought intervention of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha in this case.
Within minutes after police rearrested Parra, Mehbooba sought to draw the attention of Lt Governor towards action of the police. Instead of giving warning to fight this issue on streets, she requested Lt Governor to get Parra released.
Parra was granted bail by the special NIA court on Saturday, however, CIK, a counter-intelligence wing of J&K police, rearrested him.
Special judge Sunit Gupta released Parra on a surety of Rs1 lakh. Parra was arrested by the NIA for his alleged involvement with the Hizbul Mujahideen, on November 25 last year, a few days after filing his nomination as a People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) candidate for the District Development Council (DDC) polls from Pulwama district.
“Despite NIA Court granting bail to @parawahid after thorough court proceedings, he has now been detained by CIK in Jammu. Under what law & for what crime has he been arrested? This is brazen contempt of court. Request @manojsinha,” tweeted Mehbooba Mufti.
Recently Mehbooba Mufti had posted some tweets from the official twitter handle in which she had given warning to the administration against arresting leaders of her party.
