Inter school district level athletics meet gets underway

JAMMU, Jan 11: The Department of Youth Services and Sports District Jammu that organized Inter School District Level Athletics meet under AAG Girls got underway today at Govt Girls Degree College Gandhi Nagar Jammu. The meet was organized under the chairmanship of Saleem Ur Rehman, Director General, Youth Services & Sports, J&K Srinagar and overall supervision of Sukhdev Raj Sharma, DYSSO Jammu.
The inauguration function was held at the venue under the supervision of Sukhdev Raj Sharma, DYSSO Jammu. He advised the participants to take part in the discipline with full energy and enthusiasm. He also advised to obey all the guidelines of pandemic COVID-19. Ram Murti, I/C activity alongwith other officials and technical officials of district Jammu were present at the venue. About 150 students players took part in the above said venue.
The main aim of the competitions is to select the best players for next level of tournament coming ahead. Matches were officiated by panel of experts of Department of Youth Services & Sports, District Jammu.

In 3000 mtrs.u/17 yrs, Laxami Kumari (GHS Kalu chak), Chetna (jammu sankrit), Chaman Devi(GGHS Rai pur). In 100 mtrs u/19 yrs, Sakshi (GHS Jindrah), Pragatee (M.H.A.C Nagbani), Samikshi (GGHSS Canal Road). In 400 mtrs.u/19 yrs, Mamta Choudhary(GHSS, Mubark Mandi), Pooja Devi(GHSS, Kathar Manwal), Sonia Choudhary (GGHSS, R S {Pura).
