| GCC beats VCC in 4th Cricket Tournament | | |  Early Times Report
SAMBA, Jan 12: The final match of 4th Cricket Tournament was played between Vijaypur Cricket Club (VCC) and Gurha Slathian Cricket Club (GCC) in the memory of Suresh Singh Slathia. VCC won the toss and choose bat. VCC scored 118 runs in 20 overs. While chasing the GCC has achieved the target by making score 119 runs in 18.2 overs. In tournament 16 teams were taken participation. The runner up team VCC was honoured with cash prize to the tune of Rs. 11000 and the winner up team GCC was honoured with cash prize to the tune of Rs. 25000. The Chief Guest Dr. Harmesh Singh Slathia donated Rs. 11000 to the organizer. The prizes were distributed by Dr. Harmesh Singh Slathia. Sudershan Singh - DDC member was also present on the occasion. Dr. Hamesh Singh Slathia emphasize that the youths should take part in the games which make the human being healthy and mentally sound. He urged the Govt. of J&K UT to provide the sufficient infrastructure, grounds and staff on the panchayat level so that the youths of the rural area can show their skill. |
