JAMMU, Jan 12: The J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu (JKHCBAJ), organized its Special General House meeting today at High Court of J&K Janipur, Jammu.
The meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Ved Raj Wazir, Sr Advocate, Chairman, Presidium, J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, in which majority of the members including Senior Advocates and other members participated.
The members of Presidium JKHCBAJ included S.D.S Saini, Adv. Former President, Surinder Singh Adv. Former President, M.K. Bhardwaj, Sr. Adv. Former President, Sunil Sethi, Sr. Adv. Former President, M.A. Goni, Sr. Adv. Former Advocate General, Radha Sharma, Advocate, Mandep Reen, Advocate & Pawan Manni, Adv. Member-Secretary Nitin Bakshi, President, YLA were also present in the meeting.
The meeting discussed several key points including amendment of constitution of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, financial power to Presidium to utilize ¼ of Bar Funds for providing financial Assistance to the needy members of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu besides Any other matter with permission of Chair.
All the members of the Presidium spoke on the agenda points in the meeting and gave their valuable suggestions for the betterment of the Bar Association and holding elections of the Bar Association and amendment of the Constitution of the Bar and also for release of the funds to the needy Advocates.
The members of the Presidium while speaking in the house have assured that the elections of the Bar shall be held in the mid of March, 2021.The House has also decided that only the practicing lawyers who are practicing at Jammu would be given the voting rights. |
