Bharatiya Yog Sanasthan celebrates Lohri

JAMMU, Jan 13: Bharatiya Yog Sanasthan Jammu celebrated Lohri festival with traditional festivity and fervour. In this regard a simple but impressive function was organised today at its Ashram at Gole Gujral, Jammu. The function was attended by a large number of Yog Sadhakas besides various prominent citizens of Jammu. The function started with a Samohik Yog sadhana by the Yog lovers. This was followed by lighting of Lohri (fire), folk songs and Bhajans.
Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu was the chief guest of the function. Speaking on the occasion Gupta congratulated the participants and people of Jammu on this occasion. He said that Bharatiya Yog Sansthan is playing a vital role in promoting Yoga for a healthy and fit India. He also honoured recent KAS pass outs from Jammu including Samridhi Sharma and Ridhima Sharma.
Satya Pal Sharma, President Bharatiya Yog Sanasthan Jammu also spoke on the occasion and highlighted various activities carried out by BYS Jammu. He thanked the chief guest for sparing his valuable time and attending the Lohri festival celebrations in the ashram.
