GDC Bishnah celebrated National Youth Day

Jammu, Jan 13: Red Ribbon Club of GDC Bishnah celebrated National Youth Day, 2021 by organizing a series of events as a part of birth anniversary celebrations of Swami Vivekananda on Jan 12.
On the occasion, a webinar on the topic “Channelizing Youth power for Nation Building” and online video byte competition on the theme “Role of Youth in Nation Building” was conducted.
To spread awareness regarding the theme and red ribbon clubs, decoration of trees in the neighbourhood with small red ribbons, cards and notes was also performed by the students.
Amit Kumar Sharma,Assistant Professor in political science, Govt. Degree College, Bishnah was the key speaker of the webinar.
He explained the contributions of freedom fighters and pointed out that if principles of Swami Vivekananda are followed by the youth, it will lead the nation towards path of development.
This webinar was attended by nearly 80 participants, and two students of the college viz. Anmol Sharma from 3rdsemester and Vishesh Sharma from 1stsemester also presented their views on the theme.
This webinar was conducted under the supervision of Principal GDC Bishnah, Anuradha Pandoh. She expressed her gratitude to the resource person and threw light on the importance of youth in progress of our country.
Asha Singh, Convener, Red Ribbon Club of the college coordinated the whole session of webinar.
