Govt PG College Rajouri pays tribute to its founder Principal

RAJOURI, Jan 14: Govt P.G. College organized a seminar in the memory of its founder Principal, Prof. Mohd Sadeeq Kauchai, who recently passed away. A seminar cum condolence meeting was organized under the chairmanship of Principal of College, Prof. (Dr.) Shakeel Ahmed Raina in which rich tribute was paid to Prof. MS Kauchai who served the institution as its first Principal from June 5, 1981 to July 14, 1984.
While speaking on the occasion, Prof. Shakeel Ahmed Raina, being a student of this college in his tenure recalled profound memories of Prof. Kauchai who laid stronger foundation of the College. Hailing from Navakadal, Srinagar, Prof. Kauchai distinguished himself as a great teacher, an able administrator by his hard work, honestly and dedication. His unparallel contribution in this far-flung area shall be ever remembered. Prof. Raina said, he was an institution in himself and the younger generation needs to learn a lot from him as a role model.
The other speakers who spoke on the life and contributions of Prof. Kauchi include Prof. Javed Mughal, Dr. Bashir Ahmed Choudhary, Dr. Anwer Shah, Dr. Saleem Wani and Dr. Ashaq Malik. Prof. Mohd Iqbal Raina conducted the proceedings of Programme whereas Prof. Farooq Ahmed Mirza presented formal vote of thanks. The seminar concluded by a condolence meeting in which the participants prayed to God for grant of peace to the departed soul and expressed sympathies to the bereaved family.
