Kashmir was, is & will remain integral part of India: Ex Dy CM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 15: The stand taken on Kashmir by some of the parliamentarians of United Kingdom during a debate in the UK holds no ground as the discussion was based on unsubstantial accusations by rogue nation Pakistan.
This was stated by senior BJP functionary and former deputy chief minister of erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir Kavinder Gupta in a statement released here on Friday.
The former Dy Chief Minister categorically denied the concern raised by UK’s parliamentarians that there are human rights violations in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He made it clear that the concerned UK parliamentarians have been fed with misinformation by the ‘enemy’ country Pakistan which day in day out is struggling to foment unrest in the country by hook or crook.
He said that rather than raising concern on atrocities in Indian part of Kashmir, the UK’s lawmakers should ask Pakistan to vacate PoK, the region which was legally acceded to India but captured forcefully by that country, and resolve the long pending issue between the two neighbours. He said that ignoring the authentic information available in the public domain on Jammu and Kashmir UT and relying on malicious propaganda spread by Pakistan is not at all justifiable and needs to be condemned at all levels.
Making it clear that Jammu and Kashmir was, is and would remain integral part of India, the former Deputy CM said that what needs to be discussed right now is the fact that how the PoK should be vacated from the clutches of Pakistan and help people living in that part of the Kashmir to live a life with dignity. The senior BJP leader however said that although Britain has clarified that the stand taken in the aforesaid debate is not the official stand of UK but raising such baseless issues in the House of Commons is a matter of grave concern for India especially people living in J&K UT. He asked the lawmakers of UK and elsewhere to restrain from indulging in such acts having potential to affect the bilateral ties.
