ADC Jammu reviews Preparedness for National Road Safety Month

JAMMU, Jan 15: Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Satish Sharma today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the preparedness for smooth conduct of National Road Safety Month, which is being observed from January 18 to February 17, 2021.
The road safety month would focus on spreading awareness about traffic rules and regulations and promotion of safe driving habits among the people in general and teen agers in particular.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Information, Namrita Dogra; RTO Jammu, Dhananter Singh, besides senior Officers of Police, Traffic, PWD and other concerned departments.
Threadbare discussions were held on various important arrangements. The ADC stressed upon the concerned departments to expedite the necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of activities during the Month long programme.
The meeting was informed that various activities have been planned for the national Road Safety Month, including inauguration of 32nd National Road Safety Week, Walkathan from Gulshan Ground to Green Field School, Walkathon by MPs, Pledge taking ceremonies, Symposiums on Road safety rules, Workshops and other such activities.
